Too Mean To Die
I am a disabled army veteran. 2024 graduate of Guitars 4 Vets and began writing songs shortly before that after going to the Frank Brown Songwriting Festival. This song is about a WW2 veteran Jerry Hinton whose interview I came across on Facebook from his 105th birthday. He told the reporter the reason he lived so long was that the devil didn't want him and the Lord won't have him he was too mean to die. Me and Bobby Tomberlin wrote it at the Huntsville freedom sings USA retreat in 2025. I would love to have it recorded and released so other WW2 veterans and their families can hear it.
